Holiday Time!
The holidays are a time for family and friends.
It is a wonderful chance to kick back, eat food, watch football,
and enjoy
the time together.
A tradition that he shared with all of his kids at some point in time, a memory that can never be replaced, we are thankful to have this special time in our hearts and minds.
Although he kept it cool for the most part, Christmas Spirit came over the chief once again :)
What would Christmas be with out the redneck night before Christmas? Includes rednecks, shotguns, pickup truck, and the trailer park. What more could you ask for? Thank you to Christie and Ed for giving us this memory!
"It takes a sorry individual to cart on a man's Christmas Tree!"
You know even after all the going from place to place, we always returned to the ranch for a bit!
Presenting that image to the public is hard when you have us around :)
Even though it was cold on those nights, we all packed in the car to out and see the lights. Brrrr....
A hotdog, cup of coffee, train ride, and candy from the store. That sums up what Christmas Eve looked like. (Even if it was colder than a well digger's knee)
Gobble till ya wobble, and then we'd talk about people. Now that's tradition.
One of the best games ever, this was definitely one of the best birthday celebrations ever. The tribe all rallied for the Chief's big day, and all enjoyed Daddy and Pam going at it!
I don't know about you, but I'd buy whatever he's selling :)
The chief was a brave man to be messing with his squaw.
One of the greatest gatherings at the Dove Ranch. A fun day for all who attended!
"Anniversary"
Noun: the annual recurrence of a date marking a notable event
Some can only dream of being with their partner for 60 years. Everyday we have is a blessing from God , so we all must remember to enjoy each day to the fullest.
Simple joys in life... A great afternoon ride, family to keep you company, and bikers to yell at.
Every year we'de drive and park to see the fireworks. There was never a shortage of fun and laughs . Whether it was the Clayton show or fireworks in the back yard, it was always grand.
We would always take the lawn chairs out to catch the show. Kicking back, relaxing, and enjoying some fireworks!
Remember When.
He loved to perform for the baby. She was always the apple of his eye :)
Some might not have heard it before and some might. Its always the best hearing it from the man himself.
Not one to keep quiet or even able to whisper, he was no stranger to let his opinion be known.
One could tell how much he enjoyed taking care of his chickens. He even tried to convince others of the "joys" of owning them. They loved him too and it's plain to see.
Its great to hear these stories. Also most educational learning how to properly say different words. Tournament time?
He wanted to make sure she stayed away from all those germs.
He would do just about anything that the baby wanted to do. Even stealing the squirrel's food for a craft project (that never was finished btw).
It's hard to deny that bass voice commanded some attention, and when he sang everyone listened!
Sometimes its hard getting people's real opinion, but not with the chief. A little candid questioning and you get the whole truth and then some.
Singing seems to be one of the biggest request of the chief, and we love it.
We love Mike, but the chief had his ways. Great to watch him at his best.
Traditionally we would sneak away and cut a watermelon up every summer on many occasions.
After everything was done, he couldn't help but being competitive. Horseshoes, basketball, or tossing food it was all the same - in it to win it.
"Ratchet" as she came to be known, daddy couldn't leave due to mama's talking stamina. Blink Blink Blink... lol.
Although some his age might shy away from technology (and probably should), he always was ready to try something new. Even when sending text to only God know who... LOL
No Peace. Just trying to get stuff done and the girls just won't let him!
Even though the "shortcuts" did save time, you couldn't convince the chief otherwise.
Seems that Josh only showed up when things weren't broke, otherwise someone would have put him to work. That's how he got the name "No-Show"
Some call him Big Mike, some call him Putty, but we called this one fun.
Even at home on the couch, when the cameras started rolling the entertainer emerged. Undeniably one of the most eloquent of our bunch.
